It will also give you a total at the bottom (in Bold), which will tell you exactly how much profit/loss you made, how much is the commission and what will you be getting back. There may be a minor variation between the bank's calculations and this spreadsheet, due to rounding off rules.

Good luck.
Thanks to Siva and the gang of Traderji for providing this beautiful piece of spreadshhet. Now using this I can exactly do day trading and bring home some money...HAHAHA!!!!!!!!

Thumbs up Re: ICICI Margin Plus orders!!!!!-Please help

Deepak, thanks a lot for sharing day trading template. I really liked the idea of breakeven.

Can we also create a seperate template for BTST, Cash and Spot. This will be really helpful.

Thanks once again

I modified it for values that I use (12.24% tax, 0.015% turnover and stamp duty charges)

I have also put the values in a different sheet so that it's easy to change if STT etc. changes (which I use for sharekhan etc.)

Lastly i have also introduced a "break even price" - if you enter a transaction it will immediately tell you the break even price after reducing commissions etc. so that you can have that a stop.

I hope this helps, and thanks again to Prilia33!

This could be a dumb questions to ask!
My understanding is that i could only use ICICIDIRECT for marginplus trading. How come no other onlinetraders are not allowing it?
Cheers

All the traders offer this but they do not call it margin plus. I trade using Indiainfoline 5P trader and I do not even need to have any money in my trading account to buy. They give you margin upto 85% of the value of some selected stocks available in your DP account. In case of 5P Trader software you can buy and either square off or take delivery. If you take delivery then you pay 0.25% brokerage and if you square off then it is 0.05%. There is no need for you to put a cover order at the time of placing your buy order. Also ICICIDDIRECT Margin plus orders starts getting squared off by 2.45 P.M. that is 45 minutes before actual closing of the market. All of you familiar with the market knows how much the market can move in this 45 minutes. In case of 5P trader you can wait till the last moment to square off. I have been using marginplus right from the date they introduced but have not found it so useful because of this forced square off at 2.45 P.M. Many times you see at 3.30 P.M. market has taken a 360 degree turn and you have lost lot of money because of their insistance on sqauaring off at 2.45 P.M. Guys go with software like 5P where you have control and not the bank.
