well one of the differences is that odin has only intraday charts but tradeanywhere has historical charts as well as company financial data

odin and orion are trading terminals. one you find at your brokers pleace. you wont find historial charts in either odin or orion, but intraday yes. the intraday charts are much better in orion, at least visually. but these only plots the price data. no indicators or moving avarages. only tick data no 5 minute charts etc. etc.

Well so far it seems tradeanywhere is much better but even so brokers prefer odin. I wonder why?

Has anyone used both these terminals and can tell us their experience?

i haven't used tradeanywhare so i could not comment on it. as for odin, neat or orion is concerned they are more of a trading platform, and thats the brokers need. the intraday charts are just add-ons.

Odin is much reliable and fast than tradeanywhere. Quotes are streaming properly and order execution is fast. It requires lesser bandwidth.

Well today I saw the demo for tradeanywhere.exe I was quite impressed it has all the charts you could possibly want and a lot of other functions with shortcuts.

I guess odin uses lesser resources but it seems more geared towards speed and execution. As you have said for brokers who dont need charts but simply have to place buy and sell orders very quickly.

Angel trade have offered me 0.35 (can negotiate to 0.3) delivery and 0.07 intraday IRRESPECTIVE of volume, ie no volume commitments. They will start with 8 times leverage and go upto 15 times as my relationship with them develops, not that i need more than even 4 times

Margin money to be maintained in trading a/c 25000 rupees.

NO minimum brokerage even for tradeanywhere.exe this is a huge plus point.

No software charge for tradeanywhere.

Free call and trade facility, transaction notes couried within three days of trade

24 hours BPO site.

No need to open a demat with them, can link my existing demats or use their holding a/c for free.

Only 200 rupees yearly demat maintainance charge should I open a demat.

Short selling allowed.

I had shortlisted man-sify, religare, Motilal Oswal, uniconindia, SK, IB, Guiness and angel.

Angel seems to be giving me the best deal.

If any of you guys need any further info on the above brokerrs I can give it to you.

Hello Marcus,

Could you kindly elaborate on the differences and advantages you observed between Angel Diet and Angel Anywhere. I could not find any information in their website. Which one in your opinion will be more suitable for intraday trades taking into consideration order execution speed, refreshing of RT rates, intraday charts etc.

Regards

Saji

Dear saji,

Speed and order execution is faster in Diest Odin v7.8 but intraday charts are mush better in tradeanywhere. If you dont have to look at charts say like a broker but only take buy/sell calls on the phone and punch them in then diet odin is definitely better. However if you're trading with charts tradeanywhere would be much better.

You can d/l a demo of tradeanywhere from refco1 site. You can also d/l a demo of diet odin v7.8 from jvfinancial site, please try both and see which one suits you.
