Opening DEMAT rite time with sebi&brokers in court????
Hello friends,
I ws lookin forward to opening a dmat-trading a/c wen the sebi order came in... wud it b safe time to open an account now or is it wise to wait for the matter to sort out b/w the brokers n sebi? i ws supposed to open a/c wit HDFC or IL&FS bt they have been named in sebi order. then i ws thinkin of indiabulls,bt it ws also initially mentioned by sebi(now order is in abeyance) should i go for IB or search 4 another broker or wait till the matter sorts out (wat if other brokers r named afterwards by sebi?) Pls help me wit watever giudance..thnx!! SATEJ salvisatej@rediff*********

one point is to be looked into that none of the 24 entities named in the sebi circular are party to the scam, but their infrastructure has been used or manupulated.
but nobody really knows when things will get clear. as per reports sebi will sit with the concerned entity on the 12th of may. i think one should wait untill that time before taking any decision. hope things will get a lot clearer in a weeks time.
