Default Online trading with icici

I first opened my online trading A/c with ICICI about 7 to 8 years back. I do not hv any major complaints about it but my major observations are as below:

First of all, even though their net banking system is excellent, online trading web is in poor condition. It was slow in opening. Besides inspite of the fact that they were one of the oldest amongst those providing online tradeing facility, they hv not made any progress in providing new trading platforms or improving the web site. Yet for those who trade occasionally and for long term investments, it is not that bad with their 3-in-one account facility. One can transfer only reqd. amt. from linked SB A/c.

Secondly, in this competitive brokerage era, their brokerage seems to be slightly on higher side.

If they reduce the brokerage and provide the better terminal, any one can go in for ICIC online trading.

Members please note that I am just giving my opinion and request to study the observations of others before arriving at any conclusion.

For newcomers, it would be nice if you also describe how you access the broker's site. Is it a web-based platform or is proprietary software required?

If it is web-based, do several common browsers work or do they insist you use just the one?

If it is proprietary software, do they versions for Windows, Apple, Linux, etc.
