@omkarmango , it should be possible since the PIB is java based .
The desktrade.jar launches the application , you should be able to unzip this file and take a look at what files it has . If are good at java ,can hook into some of the files , pass parameters and extract data . But as some one was telling on the other tread , this is illegal and any thing goes wrong no one to rescue you .

@sanx, this is not for data, but for script based order placement.

It'll be possible to
1] faster & complicated order placement as t111 wants 2] automated trading. (I have both the needs.)

deskjar is encrypted. somebody should write code to deal with IB website as in my prev post.
legality : modifying the files / hacking of website /providing mech tr platform is illegal. client level automation is not.
risk : am aware of it & ready to take it. again like t111, compromising some amount regularly with keyboard.

thanx for reply.

Actually the features I seek are standard for most international brokers like Interactive Brokers or Swift trade. But its the abysmal awareness level of traders in India that brokers here can fool around.

They talk about Trade 'Tiger' but don't even show a running tape on the main screen

Is it any way possible to write such thing for indiabulls website to place orders. as PIB connects to 'trade.indiabulls.c0m' site for the transactions (the same site, where browser based trading is possible.)

I do not have any programming knowledge except some googled vbscripts, thats why the question.

Rergards.
i also do not have any formal training in any computer language. just google it like you do. call myself a cut copy paste programmer.

till date i havent got/seek any direct/indirect help from any person/friends whatever except for one instance, where my good friend icecubetray bailed me out. and that instance was also on how to log in to a site useing win forms.

from that experiance i can say, without the sound understanding of whats happening, one should not try this path, perticularly when it comes to sending orders to a secured server. theres just too many issues to address. just think, one is sending an order and the server is down (a frequent nag with icici). without a sound error handler one is doomed. and designing a sound error handler is an issue. hope you got my point.

sendkeys might be a bit ametureish, but i would still recommend it.

I guess for US markets < as trader111 said about NASDAQ > There he can use TS+IB+TradeBullet for automated orders.

As far as Indian brokers r concern , i dont think there is any chance in near future. Yeah , somethings can be done , if a good programmer can code it for various softwares like PIB , ODIN or TTAdvance or NEAT ,...

Can be benificial to many.

Regards,..

Indian Exchanges are actively considering a proposal to allow Automated Trading via Member Broker's terminal from Oct. this year.

hopefully newer versions of platforms will take care of the need.
ofcourse, it'll take > six months. like a decade waiting for a daytrader.

Shall update if I find any valid solution. (until going to rely on JDM's suggestion).

Thanx for worthful thread.
