Question How to sell in one lot?

Hi everyone,

Myself Varun. I am new to Stocks and online trading. I am facing following difficulty while selling/buying shares on HDFC sec:

Suppose I want to sell 200 shares of a company, then when I place a limit order, I leave the 'Disclosed quantity' blank so that all of my shares are sold in one go. But unfortunately, they shares are sold in small lots (like 99 + 51 + 50 etc.) and I end up paying more brokerage (as minimum brokerage is Rs. 25). This happens at buy time also. Is there any method by which I can make sure that shares are sold in a single lot only? Also is this problem faced only on HDFC sec or it happens with other online trading platforms (like ICICI, Geojit etc.) also? As I understand, this should happen only when I use disclosed quantity. By disclosing only say 100 out of 200 shares, I am forcing to have the transaction being done in lots of 100. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks.

u can do it by putting the order as 'market rate' instead of limit order

I see no option for 'all or none' in the HDFC interface.
Can anybody using HDFC securities confirm?

Thanks for suggesting Reliance money, but are you sure Reliance money provide this facility of 'all or none' ?
I have heard of numerous problems with Reliance money interface. Anyone using it might confirm.

Best would be to go for a broker who does not operate on minimum brokerage basis.
