1) Can you (or some one else) recommend me a good online UPS?

The issue (for me) with RK Global's ODIN is that even after a power shut off, I am not able to log into ODIN DIET. If ODIN DIET uses a different IP address after my modem reboots, then shouldn't i be able to re-connect with a new IP address? (with my back up UPS/inverter etc.) I still don't understand why my RK Global's ODIN doesn't start (or if it starts, it freezes) when I restart my modem....I mean, shouldn't my ODIN be connected with a new IP address? Has any one experienced this problem?

Answer: Nope. Angel broking doesn't charge any extra for trades over the phone. The reason why RK Global charge is that they are offering low low rates. I guess you get what you pay for. Low Rates and crappy service? and missed trading opportunities? or good service with more brokerage? This is a business. At the end of the day, I just need to justify whatever I am paying for the services offered by various brokers.

Also, we all have experienced ODIN crashing down from RK Global. Now, I have the following questions:

1) Is this crashing thing ODIN software application glitch? or the broker? Is ODIN with a different broker better? i.e. will it work without any crashes or freezing? Can RK Global improve this if they have more servers or some thing like that?

I was in the Angel office today in my city and their ODIN worked SUPER. Not even a millisecond downtime. I guess they have a VSAT connection and of course they are in the business to execute the trades on behalf of several clients and cannot afford any downtime.

Try reinstalling the Master file If it does not work the problem is most certainly a server side one.

How much do they charge for AngelDiet? Is it one-time or recurring? What are the other recurring charges (demat, AMC etc.) And off course what brokerages did you get (usual is 0.5 & 0.05)

I am paying 0.03. Angel Diet is free. They charge nominal fee for account opening...i think i paid some thing around 575 for DMAT and account opening....

Hello all,

First thing first!

The fund trasfer that I had requested for yesterday morning.... got credited to my bank a/c... By afternoon today...
But not in the name of RKG but someone 4m RKG... (its fine with me who ever gets my bank a/c credited

)

Secondly! The d/c problem still persists.... and like anything!

I am now trading with Angel. I was using Angel Diet today and just when I was about to place a trade over the phone, the price that the dealer quoted from his VSAT terminal was 7-8 Rupess off from what I saw in my Angel DIET terminal. My thinking is this:

I think due to the latency and lag factor involved pretty much whatever you see on a DIET terminal is delayed by a few minutes even if it is supposed to be real time. This may not be a problem for a swing trader or a long term investor but definitely not for a intra day trader. Timing is very important in this game. Do any of you guys experience the problem that I am talking about?
