Friends,RK Global used to take 15% margin for Nifty Futures and NSE were charging near about that percentage! But now, what is the charge from NSE side for NF? Can anybody give me any link that tells the exact amount NSE is charging now? Or if they have increased margin money or so?

I am observing that the RK global is charging as high as 26% (more than) for my orders for NF! Is it the same u guys are paying?

What is the charge for other brokers for futures?

Thanks.

icici direct is charging 35K for 1 lot of NF @ 2800

So thats 25% . I guess volatility has gone up these days.

Did anybody have trouble with ODIN today especially around 2:45 to 3:00 pm?

When I signed up abt a month back both Geojit and RK were asking for same margin. Today I checked again, Geojit is around 34500 and RK is around 37800

It was working well today and no disconnection happened in the whole day including 2:45 pm to 3 pm.But I faced some slowness in one of the orders' confirmation(not execution).

Though quotes-freeze in a single trading session happened too often these days, barring today.

Nitin, have u any idea why the hell RK is charging that extra? They give excuses like NSE is charging that percentage!Had this been true, there can't be this difference of 3,300/- between Geojit and RK....both should have charged the same.

These guys lack the least business moral!

No idea. NSE had increased margin close to end of Oct. At that also RK and Geojit will same but only yesterday I noticed the difference. Probably RK is playing safe

well brokers can charge a little more than span margin , as it is the brokers who is responsible to exchange and not the client , the span margin were increased by sebi last month and due to volatilty rk might be asking more.

Had two freezes near 10:40 and 12:15; needed to relogin. Do not recollect anything near 2:45.

The minifty had a strange quote at opening bell with time as 3:30 and price as 2854 (fortell of day's trend ). This resulted in the graph behaving strangely for the rest of the day.

Yes this bug happens sometimes. To avoid it wait for the first quote of the day to appear in the market watch and then open the graph. Otherwise you have to exit, edit the data file and remove the offending first line.
