With the thread pages running into several places, it seems to be difficult to know about individual broking houses. Instead, I suggest, it would be better to write comments on indivual brokers so that whosoever wants to know about a broker can go through the opinion/experience of others. What I find is a number of articles on knowing about a broker is quite common and sometimes even response is contradicting one another, making it difficult to arrive at conclusion. Hence, let there be new articles on individual broking houses, so that one can study in depth.

I second your proposal. That way even the brokers concerned may be able to get a better sense of what their clients are feeling. And since it is a public forum, they may be more likely to fix the problem, if any.

I propose to break this thread by writing about my experiences with different online brokers during my last 7 to 8 years experiences. My first experience was with ICICI. Second has been Sharekhan and I am still continuing with Sharekhan. But off late I am facing some problems with Sharekhan, (becoz it has now become Tigerkhan?,) which are very serious in Nature and I propose to complain to Statutory Authorities. But according to me no broker ever care for any complaints. This would go on... So, begining with ICICI i.e. my first online brokers, I start giving my personal experience with each broker.

Hi any one using sharekhan here ,please help me in understanding the brokerage calculation .
Please find attached digital contract notes exl file
My questions are
1. What is M2M premium ?
2. How is it calculated ?
3.Is the STT charged once ?
4. What is my brokerage, how can I calculate it ?
5. How much can I bargain if I am trading 6 scrips daily with 60 min flow with one lot at entry and add according to rules ?
6. Will the volume with 6 scrips be enough to bargain for lower brokerage ?

regards
faith

My questions are

Code:
1. What is M2M premium ?
2. How is it calculated ?
MTM is calculated on Daily Settlement price announced by NSE.
This is almost close to closing price.
For example you bought 1 lot of NIFTY at a price 3000 and Nifty
futures are settled at 3100 then (3100-3000)*50=5000 is added
to your account. In case if they are settled at 2900,then
(2900-3000)*50=-5000,that is 5000 is deducted from your account.
50 is Nifty lot size.

Code:
3.Is the STT charged once ?
STT is charged in one side ,that is SELL side.Buy side it is NIL.

Code:
4. What is my brokerage, how can I calculate it ?
Sharekhan has 3 AMC schemes.2k,6k and 18k.Different schemes
attracts different brokerages.Detailed can be found in their website.
For example 18k scheme has brokerage rates of 0.04 for complete
transaction .(buy+sell in the same day).In case of Nifty futures
for ONE lot at 3000,the brokerage works out to be 60Rs.If transaction
is squareoff on same day NO FURTHER BROKERAGE.
