Confused - Sharekhan vs Icicidirect vs Hdfc vs Kotak vs Indiabulls vs 5paise

I use the "new posts" link at the top to get the latest posts. This thread always comes up but I dont see any new posts in it? Is it a bug in the system?

http://www.investmentz.co.in/ are providing trading software they also give 7 days demo to see only charts and price but we have to obtain the demo login and password.... they provide this if we submit proper information...

gotmy userID and password for ICICIDirect... The site is slow, wonder why they use ASP (active server pages) which was the craze 5 years back. considering the amount of traffic to their page, they should use some better updagrded scripts that would not pull down the servers.

and the registration process was smooth, except that I got a password reset email when I did not request for one. Maybe someone was playing with my account or the issue of a new userID password is also linked to that same page/process. The reply from helpdesk regarding my query about the funny emaill was even funnier => they send me a doc saying how to trade!

But I feel that the information on ICICI webpages are not enough, like if I need to know about company details/company website/balance sheets I need to go to moneycontrol.com (which is free).

I am sorry I did nto get your question.

ICICIDirect is not giving any money :-) I havenot started trading yet, I am a complete noob and will be doing dry runs. I took the account only to invest in Mutual Funds that too for tax saving.

I am using Sharekhan for quite some time, and definetily love it.

The software (free) is ultimate, plus I have been assigned a broker , who contacts me regularly on Chat and phone.

Infact the relations manager also calls weekly for the feedback from Mumbai.

I did not pay any fee's (which is 1000).

You can do trading online and offline.

Hats off to sharekhan.

As I am still to open an account I read lot of threads regarding online brokers. Out of much thinking and decesions I picked up sharekhan Indiabulls and 5 paisa. But after reading bad market report of Indiabulls am scared of this broker now reamins sharekhan and 5 paisa. can u tell me sharekhan how is the broker i will not be trading online cause am always on the move as a tour official but so will be trading only through telephone now please tell me Will sharekhan be the right choice for me. Any update on this broker i mean there demat and financial transaction etc. Please guied me

Since you will not be trading online I take it you would not be trading intraday. In that case I think geojit would be the best. They have a very low brokerage and service is also good.

I am in no way connected with geojit nor do i trade thro them.
