Default How & where can I get a faster connection for volume trades?

Hi friends,
I am an investor since 3-4 yrs. Now I want to invest and trade with a sum of 30-40Lakh rupees. So in this regard I need ur valuable guidance about broker and technology.

Currently I have online accounts with ICICDirect and Kotak. Kotak gives me 0.03 and 0.30 for Intraday and Delivery respectively with 5 lakhs initial deposit. In overall I am satisfied with kotak except the order execution speed, which is bit slow thru their KEAT Premium software.

So to for abovesaid 30-40 L amount, I will prefer a speed and facility just like brokers execute on their terminal. I have seen some online brokers and their terminals connected to Vsat. The realtime data feed and order execution is amazing.

So please guide me, what should I choose. VSAT or internet.
Is there any faster option or software from any broker to run thru internet which can run like a broker's terminal or VSAT is the only way to get that speed ?
Please note, my internet connection speed is 2MBPS which is more than sufficient for such data feeds. Only problem I face due to the slow server response at broker's end.

I guess, many of our seasoned traders here can give me their guidances as this is a problem which every one face at some point of time and it matters more when we play with some lakhs.

If VSAT is the only way what I want, then what would be the initial setup coast and recurring expenses? Whom to contact for a best deal?

Thanks.

i really feel strange reading your requirements...are you taking up intradaytrading with huge capital .. ...see even with fire wall,i always executed my order in time with great speed...using fastlane browser in kotak (now a days it is frequently down).

any way ..let me tell you few points.....

don't fill your hard disk with lot of applications ..better keep a separate disk for trading only ...with atleast 512RAM

shut down your firewall and antivirus spyware...althougth not recommended but if u want speed do that .

do not surf internet while trading ...just stick to trading only

kotak..use only... fastlane browser not keat

your internet speed ...broadband 128kps is enough ..

your reqirements sounds different ..what ever... the above tips works

regards
suba

Dear Suba,
Thanks for ur reply.
I think u should not feel STRANGE on my requirements, if u have ever sit near a trading terminal for 1-2 days during trading hours in a broker's office.

I'm a software professional. So definitely I have a more than enough knowledge in Software installation, system configuration, RAM, Firewall, Antivirus and Browsing related matters. Perhaps u will be surprised to see at any broker's place how they fast execute their orders on behalf of clients in just a P-III PC with 128RAM and Win98 OS.

As far as order execution speed thru INTERNET is concerned, kotak is not too bad compared to other online brokers. But its much slower than a trading terminal what I mentioned above and that delay costs us much if we want to place orders with few seconds' decision.

Thanks.

Googler.in
There are many brokers who provide VPN connectivity for uninterrupted trading to high volume traders/ franchisee/ subbrokers . For VPN connectiovity these brokers have tie up with Airtel/ sify etc. Its a better option than internet and cost effective than other high cost options like leased lines / ISDN etc.
Since , this same connectivity is given to sub brokers / franchisee so you should not doubt its performance and I think it will solve your purpose.

Just visit this link , you will get better idea of what I am saying. There are many brokers who provide VPN connectivity , just google .

Note : Experience vary from user to user , so accordingly you many not find VPN as a better option . Regrading cost of VPN also you should talk to the broker providing it , who will give you better idea than me.
