Where can i open an overseas trading acct
Hi ,
Wanted to check where can i open an overseas trading account, apart from the one in ICICI direct. Please help me with the people offering overseas trading services. Thanks Pankaj

Reliance money offers it. Plz please bear in mind that Indians are only allowed to "invest". You cannot trade i.e. no derivatives and margin trading - its illegal.

I dont think its illegal, if it was illegal ICICI direct would not be able to allow to open overseas trading acct. So please let me know. Thanks Pankaj

You can invest in India. You cannot do daytrade. Also there are limits on the investments. BSE website is having all the details on the same. Many people do the online and on-phone trading sitting abroad, but its illegal to do that as per the rule book.
You can open an account here giving the credentials of your local status while here in India. Then do what you want.
