Perhaps huge number of customers accessing their servers might be slowing down the operations. May be they can think of having Mirror Sites or similar to reduce the burden on limited access. It needs funds earmarked for trading from the savings/current a/c. held with the bank.

The brokerage rate or the demat account annual maintenance charges for ICICIDirect are the highest among the lot. If you are an F & O trader, you would find margin requirements imposed by ICICI Direct (without which they won't accept the order) being pretty high compared to other brokers.

Order execution speed on ICICI Direct simply sucks. During the peak time (opening half an hour and closing half an hour) I can't be sure that my order actually gets to the exchange and be confirmed. The order gets queued up for more than 20-35 minutes, I can't cancel it or I can't modify it. A huge discussion with their customer care executive, the managers in customer care, can make you lose your temper but the issue with the order never gets resolved!

Out of all my experience with their customer service, ICICI Direct standard can best be described as pathetic, if not anything else. The persons I had spoken to, didn't even know what an 'Option' contract is, when it was the need of the hour to exercise an in-the-money option during the small daily window provided!

I stopped trading through ICICI Direct keeping all these in view. Though my account is not closed with them as on today, over the last 8 months or so I got actually hooked on to Sharekhan and Geojit - they proved to be far better than ICICI Direct. Infact I felt that Geojit Securities to be the best, when it comes to the same points where ICICI Direct scored the least...!

I second Sarathc on the performance of ICICI Direct. I am one of their many disgruntled customers. Looking out for another broker. Though I agree the seameless money transactions, and other facilities like IPOs, MFs, etc. Hence would continue using it for non-trading investments.

Hi , I have traded yhe ICICIdirect and their brokerage is very high, nocharting or ticker provided, no streaming quotes.
5paisa.com has the trader terminal platform....again the speed is not so good for market orders, high slippage for market orders, limit orders not getting executed, and during exit from the trade,it gives lot of slippage. Customer service not so good.

Can anybody suggest me a broker with efficient software?---Kaustubh.

Dear friends, all most all the members are missing a good brokerage house SHAREKHAN which i am using at present (with their speedtrade plus). Please try to know about this from your nearest sharekhan's office. Pleate note that I am a trader not a sharekhan employee. Among 5paisa.com, icicidirect.com and sharekhan, I am satisfied with Sharekhan in all respects including brokerage. Friends, please share your views and ideas regarding reliable brokers who charge very attractive brokerage i.e. one paise or less than per 100 rupees. I want to shift to commodities trading. Please give your opinion / suggestions.

With thanks
