I have been searching and turning this forum upside down hoping against hope to find an ideal broker. But looks like these jokers are all like three legged horses. Something or the other is missing.

One is dead cheap but has no decently working trading platform. Some brokers trade on their own using your account and money ofcourse. Another has a trading platform but their accounts and customer services are a mess. Another one is secure and tested but they take all your profits in the name of brokerage (i see i see i).

Looks like I have to go with the 'known devil is better' policy for now. So staying with ICICI direct for now. Will continue my quest in the meanwhile.

Can anybody tell me if there is an application/ site which gives real time NIFTY values (like TV channels) without me having to keep hitting the refresh button every 20 seconds!

Thanx.

TV channels dont give real time stock quotes.
What u need is real time streaming quotes.
Lots of brokers provide this feature in their trading platform.

Default Why Reliance Money is not even in the list?

Surprising that Reliance money is not on the list.
And there should have been a provision for choosing more than one answer.

Well, after the trouble I had with these ICICI Direct guys, I moved to RK Global. Brokerage is low and platform (ODIN) is good at least for my requirements.

I only trade on the Nifty and dont use technical charts. So its ok. Not that RKG or ODIN is without issues, but situation so far has been far better than ICICI (for me at least).

Time will tell.....

I am using Religare for my online trading. The a/c opening charge was Rs.500 and an one time payment of Rs.1800 for the Odin software which is adjustable against the brokerage. The Odin client is quite good.
For deliver they charge .5% and for intra day .05%.

A few problems of the odin software :

The link to view the funds does not work

Other problem:

I dont know whether this is common to all. But I really get annoyed with this.
There is problem in CRN login which enables to view the funds in our a/c, the stocks that we hold and all back office things. I am struggling to get this sorted out.
