Huy Guys!I joined traderji yesterday and have been reading various posts. I just want to tell you that ICICI is not very bad. I have been trading with them for the last 15 days and I do trade in both intra day and swing trading and I have traded more than RS 85 lakhs (MARGIN PLUS) in intra day in past 2 days and I have found on my calculations that they charge very nominal brokerage of 0.025% for intraday . Yes sometimes site hangs around but I think it will be nice soon. They also offer ACTIVE TRADER service which offers streaming quotes. Don't blaim any broker. Any full time serious online trader would love to do trading with ICICI. |

Dear Sandip,
Yes no doubt ICICIdirect is very good trading portal. However, brokerage-wise they are one of the costliest. You have traded Rs.85 lacs in margin for which they will charge you Rs.2125 plus service tax. If you would have account with Reliance Money you just have to pay only Rs.500. Regarding Active Trader I would like to share with you that Regional Manager of ICICIdirect personaly come to my place and tried to start Active Trader but he was not able to get trading login. I trade in F&O for which their brokerage @ 0.01% is also very high looking into value of one lot. |

just want to say that dont try short term with ICICI. and 15 days are not a measure at all. If ur trading Intrday ur every sec and min is important. and on days wen there is a big movement and high volatility u will find ICICI direct down. another problem iv faced is that iv to log in several times every time. MY best wishes to u in ur trading career with ICICI direct. Thanks Last edited by swagat86; 1st September 2007 at 08:42 PM. |

Dear Sandip,
Initially I used their easy trade. Now I am using their Insta trade where quotes are live and you can place order immediately. I do not find any difficulty in executing orders in comparison to ICICIdirect. Main reason for switchover is brokerage. If you pay Rs.500 to Reliance Money you can trade upto Rs.90 lacs margin and Rs.10 lacs delivery over a period of two months. If you are not able to exhaust your limit the same can be carried forward for next two months recharge. Additional you have to pay STT. Since brokerage amount is very low Servie tax will be will low i.e. on Rs.500 only. Ranjeet |
