usually the order placed are executed within 30 seconds if they are market orders but if it is a limit order then u have to wait till desired price is reached.
market order is always given preference to limit order

Sukee Hai

Market Order Means = Buy/sell At Current Price...its Used In Fast Day Tradings ...
See If U Want To Buy 100 Shares And Stock At 100 Rs.. If U Place A Buy Market Order .. The Problem Is In Low Volume Case Some Time No Shares At 100 Rs Will Be Less Than Ur Order Shares That Is 100.. So Order Will Move To Next Best Seller May Be 100.50 Rs So U Will Get Some Shares More Than 100 Rs Also
The Adv Is U Will Get 100 Quenty Within Seconds But Price May Vary

Dont Use In Low Volume Stocks/ Bez Buy And Sell Price Will Have A Big Gap

Limit Order Means= U Can Place A Buy/sell Order At A Particular Price
Exaple If U Want To Buy 100 Shares Of A Stock At 100 Rs.. Then Just Place That Order... U Will Get Shares Only At 100 Rs

30 seconds?? No way. Market orders get executed as soon as they hit the exchange. That takes a second.

There are certain stocks which hit circuit at 9:55 a.m only. I understand if my order is in que , it may get executed during day time if trading is taking place.

Can someone tell me which broker software allows off market buy orders?

Hi Friends,

I am using ICICIdirect. From 9:55 to 10.10 I can't place any order.

I can't exit from the losses . Market order also didnt work.

How about other brokerage firms. Is it possible to execute orders

during market opening time?.

thanks,
kavidhev
