Religare's STT Calculation!!!
I have been trading with Religare since 4 months. Never bothered to verify STT calculations in EContract Notes till today. Now I find that STT is charged on average price of Intraday Transactions. ie., Buy Scrip "A" 100 @ 250 & sell @ 270. My understanding was STT should be charged on Sell Trade ie., 100 x 270 = 27000 * 0.025 /100 = 6.75. But Religare is charging on 260 ( average of 270 & 250 ) ie., 100 x 260 = 26000 * 0.025 / 100 = 6.5. Is this not erroneous. Please enlighten.
