that ranking is based on number of terminals each broker is having: (ET had not given any ranking but it is as per survey done by D&B)
Angel Broking tops the list of brokerages with the most number of trading terminals at 5,081, according to a report by business information provider Dun & Bradstreet. Motilal Oswal Securities, SMC Global Securities, Indiabulls Securities and Geojit Portfolio Management Services have been ranked second, third, fourth and fifth, respectively, in terms of trading terminals, while Karvy Stock Broking, Angel Broking, Peerless Securities, Anagram Securities and SMC Global Securities are among the top five (in that order) in terms of number of sub-brokers, the D&B ‘Equity broking houses 2007’ states. Karvy has 15,000 sub-brokers on its rolls. |
