Default Is Anand Rathi good?

Hi,
I am facing a dilemma whether to open an online demat and broking account with Anand Rathi or not? Anyone who's had a past experience with them or knows about them, kindly advise me on the issue.

Thanks

Can anybody put some valuable comment on the topic.
Actually I am going to open demat and trading account with Anand Rathi Securities Ltd through a sub-broker (which is near to my house).
As I am a novice in the field and I want to get familiar with the terminologies of the market through the sub-broker.

Please advise, is it a good strategy?

Thanks.

Anand Rathi prime accused in 2000 scam, their fish ad last year was very funny, they spoon feed their customers in the ad... part 2 will come next year then they feed their customers to the sharks...

Sorry above is no help but they were involved in 00 scam, that makes me avoid, maybe someone dealing with them might provide better insight.

negotiable. recently got a call from them. offered .015 (f&o and intraday) and .15 (delivery) with no volume commitments. they will even give .01 provided one generates a brokerage of 10000/month

but the buggers were banned for 2 years for leaking sensetive information when anand rathi was the president of bse. so let the offer pass. rest, as czar puts it aptly, dont want to be a feed of the sharks

Dada, glad to see you around...

jdm: not just revealing secret info, but starting the 2000 crash itself as the trade of KP on that day was counteracted by the bears heavily & the finance crisis began...
