Default RK Global- Even Rs.9 brokerage is not worth it.

Something seems to be seriously wrong with their trading system. It did't work at all from 2.00PM till the closing time - when the Nifty was at all time high!

More importantly their explanation -it will be working in 5 minutes whenever i was able to get through their perpetually busy phone line was even more misleading - in being not informing customer about the true situation.

There is no way to know when their system will again start working during trading hours except calling them and at exactly that time their phones are busy.

Another problem is to find out whenever their system starts working - if it will work on Tulip or Vsnl or Aircel. You again need to call them to find out.

Never faced such problem with indiabulls. I think one must consider these situations before signing up with RK Global. I think .015% is better than Rs.9 in long run.

I Feel RK Global is better than other Brokers. Some time they may have problem with software but not all times.

But their times of problem with 'their' software can ruin (including lost opportunities to make money) a trading account in 2 hours in fast moving markets especially when a market is at all time high.

Dear Sudhir,
Rightnow also, I am doing Trading in RK - Odin. I don't have any problem for fast few months. I remember, lastmonth problem was few Hours only. Afterthat nothing. You can compare all the online Trading software, they cannot give 100% Error free. I used ICICI,Sharekhan,5Paisa,Rk. Finally, I kept RK Global, 5Paisa only. 5Paisa, I doing long term Carring the F&Os. I am doing Intraday in RK. As it low brokerage, I am doing trade lot of time a day. You can discuss with concern person of R.K. There is one technical person he can solve your problem, name: Sanjay ph no- 011 23073910/20.
You cannot depend on one broker. you must account atleast 2 account with separate brokers.

All the best

And those few hours were exactly when Nifty was scaling new highs, and i could not get through any telephones of RKG even at calcutta.

Mr. Sanjay is not approachable at these times at all - perhaps he is busy tweaking the links at these times.

And i had four open positions in futures ! As PIB and two other screens were working all right, RKG misinformed me again that the problem was with NSE.

How can other brokerage account help at such times? Take counter-positions with another broker at 3PM just because neither the trading plateform is working nor a telephonic order be placed - for a "few hours" ?

I guess the aim of postings here in this forum is to make members, especially daytraders -who mainly look for low brokerages- aware of such possibilities with a broker although i myself have introduced and exalted RKG in a separate thread.

And why should they not provide 100% service at all times?

Its only a few hours connectivity from 10:55 to 3:30 in this age of telecom. They do charge 100% all the time.

If we ourself assume nobody can provide 100%, no broker will be even willing to make an effort for the same.

Sudhir_Gupta,
I was contemplating to increase another broker than Indiabulls & 5paisa,thought R-Money will give me one platform for Comm/Fx apart form EQ ,with low brokerage, hence opened an a/c but the horrible experience of other members has prevented me for putting the trading fund.
Do RKG has comm/fx also.

Hi Uasish:

No Comm/Fx on RKG. Not even BSE. Me too have paid Rs.3300 to ReliaceMoney in Dec 2006 but never funded for trading because of worst trading plateform.
