Hi,

Which online brokarage supports short-selling?
I use HDFCSec, but it doesn't.
Any idea??

during the day? indiabulls and angel also support, but have to square up by 3 pm

By the way, does any online brokerage software support AUTOMATIC SQUARE-UP at the EOD? I mean, automatically sell my intra-day shares at market price at the end of day.

Utisecurities squareoffs at 3:15 pm.And you can short sell any scrip ,there is no restriction.I trade on NSE don't know about BSE.

What happens if the scrip suddenly goes into upper circuit by EOD and u are unable to cover up yr short ?

Can happen once in a while , u know

then u have to face auction i suppose


thats the risk of trading

But u can minimise this risk by placing an extra square up order around 8 or 9 %.

But the price can still blow through ur stop and hit circuit sometimes.
