Default Shares have been received short at our end from the Exchange

Hi All,

I am using Sharekhan for last 3-4 months.

Uptill now I have received
"Shares have been received short at our end from the Exchange" such mails for 4-5 times and then auction pay-out/in is seen in such a settlement.

I would like to know that is such shortage always occuring in our NSE exchanges is something fishy going on at Sharekhan's end.I have almost stopped trading using Sharekhan's account as I have frnds using Indiabulls/ICICI for 1-2 years and they haven't faced such a issue even once.

Have any of our forum members faced such a situation ?
Suggesstion and comments are requested.

Thanks ,

Raju

did you mean that you didn't get shares which you bought,if yes...then the meaning of it is ....the person who sold didn't own shares or failed to provide delivary so it goes short.

at auction they will buy shares for you and penalty will be imposed to the person who didn't provide in time.

you will get your shares but it may be delayed .

Hi Suba/Swagat..

This happened with me for 2-3 times .I bought e.g AICHAMP shares suppose on xth date. Then immdtly tomorrow or day after tomorrow I have sold them. But these Sharekhan people mail me after 3-4 days that due to shrortage at NSE's end it's auctioned .So they bought those shares for me at higher price.

I feel "BUY TODAY SELL TOMORROW" shld not be done in case of SHAREKHAN.(Shld be avoided before u get actual delivery of shares ..maybe after 5-6 days).

I am almost afriad to continue with such swing deal(Believe me one can earn in such deals).I have already applied with Indiabulls...

Thanks for the info ...Traderji site is really very helpful to all the members.
Cheers !!!!

Raju,
