Dear lvrrajan,

ICICIDirect is Best for long term investment, for Day traders, it's nightmare.
if you are planing for DayTrading or regular swing trading ICICIDirect is of no use..But for starting ICICIDirect is good. It's always good idea t keep one account with ICICDirect,, and open second account with someother good broker. Currently in india no broker provides good charting along with Good trading terminal.. all are BullSh******. i don't know when they will improve and provide Best charting along with Best Trading terminal..
In forex we have best Charing even on DEMO account.
But in stock it's far away,
SAD story is, we pay brokarage but broker do not provide good charting.
i do not understand why they are not providing...if they provide good charting, that will encourage trades to do more transactions which will result in more brokarage..
Now thing has to change due to introduction of short selling for Institutions. and we have to more concenrate on Technical anylysis..which require Good charting.
Hope Brokers will open there eyes and improve charting.

Best Regards
Ramdas

Hi IVVRRAJAN ,

Check out my thread titled "Broker and the Bazaar", which i belive should help you to some extent for parameters in selecting your broker.

You can share same demat account with another trading account in almost all cases (Reliance i have heard does not allow you the same.. i might be wrong).
