PMS systems cater to investors who can invest 5 laks and more for over one year where the pms organiser company will invest and generate returns for their clients gENTS, Sharekhan PMS-Not great -28% Just Average tHE TRUTH IS ALWAYS BITTER, Old fact was sharekhan pms made 127% returns on stock investment during a particular period of 2004 and 2006 During that period INDEX shot up from 8000 TO 13000 hENCE IT WAS POSSIBLE TO MAKE RETURNS OF 127% PRESENT REALITY CURRENT PRESENT RECENT PERIOD RETURNS ARE AS FOLLOWS During 2006 and 2007 initial part the returns are about Past 3 months RETURNS ARE 12.5% PAST 6 MONTHS RETURNS ARE 31.6% PAST 1 YEAR RETURNS ARE 27.95% SO DONT EVER THINK if you go for PMS you will get 127%.THAT IS NOT TRUE IN CURRENT YEAR you may hardly get 28% over an year OR EVEN LESS!!!!!!!!!!!!! I never understood the Idea of giving your money to someone who would invest it over a period of time and earn returns. 90% of the fund managers could be influenced. If you check the history, May-2006, Remember what happened. Let me remind you, FII sold over 7000Crore worth equity, MF bought 7000Crore worth equity, Whole time Market was cracking. Next month onwards FII started buying, while MFs were selling partly, When market was climbing. Since than I decided that I would not give my money to any of these frauds, who would spend my money just to save someone, who can bribe these guys. And Remember our FM's Statements, "MFs are buying, Don't panic, Future is good". If MF would have bought just 3 weeks later, they would have got the stocks much cheaper.
Just remember 90% of the Fund managers don't even generate the same returns as index, So May be it is better to invest in index fund, who have strict defined rules.
