With ICICI and HDFC, what type of trading your going to do ? like Stock Market or Commodities.
From my end always ICICI is best for Trading Purpose and you have hidden features also in it, like at night time 2AM also you can put a order and it get placed while market open time immdly. |

ICICI has recently reduced the brokerage rates as seen from their website. e.g The rate for derivatives has been reduced to 0.05% at first slab. Also on options the rate would be 1% or Rs.100 whichever is higher.
Does any one know as to whether and when HDFC would be reducing their rates? |

Hi
The ICICIDirect site has become much faster in the last year. It used to fail to connect and was down for long periods of the day in late 2005 early 2006. But the last one year the software has been stable Having said that the service of ICICIDirect has been nothing short of pathetic . For example there is a magazine (WealthInsight) and the Money Manager which is basically some of their analysis . The website says that it would reach you within the 10th of the month . But unfailingly I get it only by the 10th of the next month . I complained and followed up with their customer service officer . I used to get 2 calls daily assuring me that things are on track and then nothing happenned Same is the case with the refund of the brokerage under their new plans . Nobody in ICICI knows when the amount would be credited. You are assured that the amount will be credited tomorrow and then it became at the earliest . I have just about reached proverbial last straw on the camel's back. I am shifting my demat account to Geojit . Their service has been nothing great to speak about (at least their MF division ) but then the reduced brokerage is an incentive Regards Hari |
