Default ICICI Margin Plus

Hi,

Sorry if this is a repost... I tried to search through the earlier posting but couldn't get the answer...

Can I get the margin plus order converted to the delivery options?

Basically i am new to day trading and wanted to try out the Margin plus. If my call is going wrong way, then can i covert it to delivery call. ( i.e. ofcourse before hitting the Stop Loss trigger price )

So can I convert the MarginPlus call to Deliver call instead of squaring off.

Thanks

Hi Pankaj

what's the purpose of you using Margin Plus? The reason you'll be going for Margin Plus orders is that you can do intraday trading settlement upto 25 times your available funds. If you have enough funds you can as well go for Margin orders or delivery itself.
So you cannot convert your Margin Plus orders into delivery.

Instead of going for Margin Plus you can as well go for Futures, where in you can carry over your positions to next day too.

Cheers
Sankalp

Thanks Sankalp I agree with you...

One more query now if we want to do the day trading then Is margin plus the only option.

Can I buy the share in normal buy order and then sale on the same day?. I tried but I couldn't find the way to sale the share on the same day. I can use BTST on next day but it doesn't allow me to sale the share on the same day.

Hi Pankaj

You can go for a margin order which allows a 5 times leverage as against 25 times in the case of margin plus order.

If you go for a margin order you can also convert that in to cash order if you want to take delivery at the end of the day(provided you have the cash in your account).

cheers

you can day trade in CASH segment
you can BUY/SELL the same day.
it attracts brokerage for only one leg of intra day trade and the delivery trade brokerage is charged, almost 1 percent.
you can use LIMIT PRICE option for opening trade even before the market opens.
you can close the trade anytime before the market closes.
you can carry forward the trade.
not mandatory to use stoploss.
you will make more money, i think.
