Ahh.. Back to the musings after a long time. Work of volume spread analysis and the new thread had kept me busy. Anyway it has been a great learning experience. I have put all my innovative indicators on the back burner.. VSA has given a new perspective to the analysis of the charts.
But then I think it is part of the normal journey one takes in technical analysis. Initially it is very exciting with colorful charts and indicators. The beginning is always the toughest part. One gets confused not only the jungle that is TA also various calls most of them half cooked TAs and seller of wares with vested interest. One would vouch for indicators; some would say it is only price action. Surprisingly I had seen some seniors denounce the very way they treaded to reach their destination. They slowly one becomes well versed with indicators and the principle of money management and the success rate increases. It is then one realizes the drawbacks in various indicators and the need to improve one’s knowledge. And by the time you are studying so many charts and slowly the mist over the price action slowly lifts. Slowly you drift into advanced… or should I say ..lesser know .. Strategies …like VSA and MP. IMHO this is the normal evolution path for a TA.
Another neglected aspect of trading is the MM. There is very less discussion on this subject. It takes some time for the newbie to realize the importance of MM.
Another important thing that crossed my mind was …IS the forum stagnating….more musings on that later.
