I'm a novice investor and I want to invest in ETF Gold. It's because price of Gold has been rising steadily every year & I'm thinking of longterm returns. I did some research and found out the following information from the NSE website:
Gold price per Unit
-------------------
1991- 242.49 Rs
1993- 340.98 Rs
..........
2009- 1583.51 Rs
2010- 1763.68 Rs
2011- 2159.27 Rs
2012- 2721.08 Rs
I wanted to open an account with Kotak Securities, I talked to them, but their Demat A/c charge is Rs 50 per mnth (Rs 600/- per yr) which I think is little bit pricey. Sooo.... are there any other reliable alternative brokers for ETF Gold ?? Is there anything else that I should be aware of & careful about ? I have no idea whatsoever in StockMarkets before..... & I know it sounds stupid... but I was wondering if they allow u to use leverage to buy Gold ETF or nt ?
Any feedback, brickbat or suggestions is most welcome....
