Career in stock investing

Hello everyone. I am Harish. I am currently pursuing Bachelor of Engineering. I have lot of interest in stock investing and i would like to be a stock investor in the future. My guess is that a MBA is good for the purpose after my bachelor degree. (Correct me if i'm wrong). I am ready to do whatever it takes. I'm thinking that it is better to do a job (related to stock investing) before a MBA to gain some practical exposure to the field. Please let me know what are some good jobs that fit the purpose. Thanks in advance.

Well Try to get into IIMs or any other top 10 institute ... else be ready to work a road side broker for a partly sum . Also go for CFA .

But let me give you a frank advice its difficult to break into good equity reasearch for an engineer . If you are sure at this career choice try o make it to a good B school , Indian or US this s the surest way ,...else its very difficult..because small brokergare prefer Bcoms , for a very less pay...and big banks prefer IIMs ...


My advice concentrate on engineering , one of the best paying jobs are in engineering ..Best of luck

Thank you guys for your replies. Forgive me, there is a little confusion here. I am not planning to do a lifetime job as a stock investor. I want have my own stock investing portfolio or possibly a investment company, something like warren buffett, Rakesh jhunjhunwala etc.( is that big? ). I want learn the stuff that takes me there, let it be a long process. Feel free to suggest me absolutely ANYTHING

Then get some books which will teach you how to read a balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statement.

Bhai equity markets mein only traders earn ...investors dont specially long term ...and specially the golden period of indian economy is over...
