Minimum profit required to break even

#1
Hi members

I am a new user in this forum & share investing so if someone could help me out with this doubt it would be nice...

I have an account in Kotak secutrities and was looking through their charges. I dont know if i am wrong but by the calculations i have made it is never gonna be profitable to trade with them unless one makes a profit of atleast 23 - 24% to just break even. I dont know how that can be correct or possible. Am attaching an excel file with my calculations. kindly see and advise if possible. I know it is kinda stupid but wanted to understand everything before jumping into the game...

Service Tax 10.3% is applicable on the service charges (brokerage) only. Not on the total cost.
Thank you rvm123... I found out about it.

Another doubt if u dont mind clearing. i checked with kotak securities, they say the brokerage they will charge me will be on the cost of each scrip, not the total amount traded as i thought it will be. So will it be calculated as:

Intraday
0.06% on script value on both legs (minimum of 4 paise) irrespective of the no.of scrips purchased

Delivery
0.59% on script value on both legs (minimum of 4 paise) irrespective of the no.of scrips purchased

Thanking you in advance...
