NSE - Paathshaala

I start this thread for
---> beginners - to learn throough demo account
----> Seniors can test their strategy and advise the juniors.
I expect all mats help.

Plan:
1) Open NSE Demo Account
2) Trade in this account - analyse in what basis we selected the stock and why buy / sell decisions taken - expect others comments on this decision
3) Familiarise with the terms like stop loss, and the website

Step 1) Create Watch List (s)
Step 2) Add scrips into watch list

From watch list only we can place order

I can place order only Market hours. I tried to place order at non-market hours and got error.

I placed order for Arvind - 360 Qty - for 71.50 - it has been executed

Now, In the position type combo, "Intra-Day" and "Carry Forward" options are there...

When i select Intra-day - it displays what i ordered.
When i select "Carry Forward" it doubles the qty/amount.

Senior member can any one explain this...

(3) History - for the last 52 weeks good upward trend until the recent trend change -- see chart


Known Mistake : "Dont put all eggs in one basket" - now i am doing this .... wait and we check tomorrow

How to sell without owning the stocks?

I assume that the particular stock price will go down tomorrow - so I like to sell that but which is not in my portfolio ie not owning.

How can i do short selling? I have ICICIDirect account and NSE Paathshaala Demo naccount

Seniors,

This is happened in NSE Paathshaala Demo Account

Current Market Price = 70.50. I want to place SL-L buy order and sell order.
1) If the price goes > 70.60 then buy at 70.65 --
Price-Type = SL-L, Qty = 350,Price 70.65, Trigger Price= 70.60
--- it is executed.

2) Current Market Price is 70.50. If the price goes < 65.10 then sell @ 65 --
Price-Type = SL-L, Qty = 350,Price 65,Trigger Price = 65.10 -- It is not executed. I am trading in Market hours. then i changed the price > Trigger price that also not working.

Can you pls explain.
