Any successfull day trader here ?

Hi all,

Its always tempting to enter in the world of sharemarket and to get rich in a day.

But Hardly find anyone who actually benifitted from it. If any successful day trader is here who can share his/her achievement then it will surely be helpful for other "dreamers" like me.

Have lost hard earned money in last few years but daytrading still tempt me to pump in more money to get your loss converted in profit.:thumb:

request to all to enter your geniune experience which will surely help the other dream chasers.

Yes I only DayTrade....but its risky if you do not know how to do it !

It requires a special kind of knack or instinct to do daytrades...

You will need to hone your risk-taking skills to become good at daytrading or INTRADAY!

Losing money is not the right way to learn....why do we have SL then ?

No offense but most people that look at markets as a "get-rich-quick scheme" are misguided & don't understand the markets & its underlying factors as well as they should so it's no wonder that in the long-run, such people always lose money in the markets so I'd advise you to actually try to do your own research & educate yourself on the markets before day-trading otherwise you'll keep losing more of your money.

As for successful day-traders, I'm sure they're out there but very few (& I don't think they're dying to reveal their strategies ) because it can be a demanding task & requires certain skills which you may or mayn't have, which you may or mayn't ever be able to learn. Look at painting for example, not everyone can paint but even those who can't can get better by understanding its basics & by practising, same holds true for trading, some are just naturally mentally better equipped to become day-traders, most people mayn't be, some can improve themselves with efforts but there's no guarantee that you'll improve enough to "become M.F. Hussain of day-trading"

I'd hate to pretend to be a "know-it-all" type of guy but I believe that most SUCCESSFUL day-traders will've only tasted success because they did NOT look at markets & day-trading as a "get-rich-quick scheme", they'd've definitive strategies, REALISTIC EXPECTATIONS, excellent "trading-temperament" with a willingness to take risks & accept losses knowing that it's all part of the game (absolutely essential) AND an unwavering belief in oneself & one's ability as a day-trader.

Again, rule of thumb - if you think day-trading is a "get-rich-quick scheme" - then day-trading is NOT for you; you'll just end up blowing more of your hard-earned (?) money.

i am living fully on day trading / trading since 2009. i follow the strategy to invest in a stock and then day trading the derivative ( future ) of it . in my case i am holding titan , and day trading the future daily .

but , to me , one needs , KNOWLEDGE , COURAGE, COOL DECISION MAKING ABILITY , A BIT OF AGILITY , and tenacity . apart from money ,a happy peaceful mind , learning new things and use them when necessary with no inhibition .

it took 5 years to be in where i am now ( since 2004) . so PATIENCE is another big factor .

patience = confidence ( confidence = knowledge + courage to apply that knowledge + tenacity to stick to ur decision / rectify it immediately without any hesitation , when it is proving to be wrong .) + focus .

analyse urself without any bias and if u find that u hv these all or can acquire them even "dheeray...dheeray ". then u can take ur time to day trade, and ur dream will come true , without any doubt .

hi everybuddy...! the thing changes as time teaches us experiences. I am working on this field from last 10 years. I now only trade in commodity only, where I got perfect technical calls by using advanced charting software. Believe me or not its prediction is more than 80% correct. Initially I was doing trade in equity only where operator only plays the game.

learn the art
learn how to chart read
learn how to go about it trading
before trading know how much u can loose
after u have taken a trade give stoploss order
always be alert of slippage
only stoploss not always guarentee ur trade will be safe in trouble
be positive in mind
have a profitable system
backtest the syatem
know how much drawdown is possible
know the money management
know the loss and how much u can loose in the trade u took
be disciplined
take all trade of ur method


do this religiously

and always learn from a good trader ..who ever it may be ..
