Software to learn TA

Hello Folks,

From past couple of days i am following the posts in this forum. It was very informative and thanks to all in here.

I want to understand and learn how to do Technical Analysis. I want to start commodity trading. I am planning to attend a short course in Hyderabad which will give me some basics.

I see many people talking about multiple software setup and using them from quite a long time. When i go to these software sites, i see huge pricing involved with each software (eg. Dynamic Trader, Wave56, Amibroker etc...).
My question is:
Do these people invest in multiple software or they use crack version?

Did you pay for MS Office?

Currently i have not yet developed any style of trading, so according to you what would be preferred to start with?

Go in for Amibroker. its easy . Search Volumedigger for free dataFEED 2 Amibroker.

I downloaded and install Amibroker but i am getting the graph only up to May 2011. I also not able to find the data related to commodities. Can any one guide me please?
I followed the below steps but no luck.
1) Download Myquotes
2) Extract the files to your amibroker path(By default C:\>Program Files\Amibroker )
3)Open Amibroker
3) Create a new Amibroker database named YahooIntraday set the Base time interval to Tick Data
4)Open Myquotes.exe from the amibroker folder
5)Give your yahoo username and password
6)Once you logged in Now goto File from the menu bar and select Select Amibroker path
7)And choose your path to New Amibroker Database i.e C:\>Program Files\Amibroker\YahooIntradau
8)Now from the menu bar select Download->Start Yahoo RT Data
9)Also you can adjust the time corrective settins from the options coloumn from the settings
10)You are done now watch your real time charting updating
