I want to invest for long & medium terms; (no intra-day or quick money stuff); minimum one year; to 5-6 years etc.

For beginners like me, could you experts please provide some pointers to certain practical guide of doing it; and may be some links to the basics of long-term investing in the context Indian market; like how do I pick my 2nd stock etc. (please no big books, I hate text-books; tell me a exercise, I could learn faster etc. :thumb:)

And BIG questions like -
Got a demat ready, all set to invest; but where to start/what would be the initial strategy etc?

I had more specific questions here if you care to reply -

Sorry but I tried reading 'em; I don't see them in one place except
1. Sufficient Trading Capital (Money).
3. A good Computer System.
4. A Power Back Up System.
5. A good Trading Terminal Software.
6. A very good Internet Connection.
7. A calm environment where other will not disturb you.
- so I have all of that.
