Default Beginner question

Hi
Is it necessary to extract the Payment which companies gives to the shareholders annually from the Chart's data?
For example for a given stock with P/E equal to 3 the company pays whole EPS to the shareholders. In this case chart shows sever drop and I feel system tester in the technical analysis software make mistake.
If this modification must be apply on the data how is it possible?

Thanks
hme
