How to find Intraday eligibilty?

Hi,

I wanted to know how to find whether a stock is eligible to be traded in intraday.
where to find this info on BSE and NSE website?

Hi,

If the scrip is of EQ series, it can be traded intraday. Otherwise, not.

Go to NSE page, type a scrip code and click on GET QUOTE button. The page
that follows now has the complete information about the scrip. The series of
the scrip is appended to the scrip code on this page (eg. SBIN-EQ).

Alternatively, you can download bhavcopy from NSE website, and the file
contains the series of scrip in the second column.

(Few brokers have restrictions on allowing certain scrips - though they
are of EQ type - to be shorted. This information has to be gathered from
your broker.)
