Hi Guys,

I use Reliance Demat for trading. There they have three type of order:
1. Limit
2. Stop Loss
3. Market

I understand Limit and "Stop Loss" here, but no idea of Market orders, what is that?

They have three types of products:
1. ATST
2. Delivery
3. Margin

Some one pls explain me what are these product type:confused:.

Hi babyfish,

1) market order mean your buy/sell order will get executed immediately on current market price.

2)
1. ATST = its like BTST thing i guess
2. Delivery = when u bought stock earlier then the trading day
3. Margin = when u buy you stock in exposure

Hope this wil help.

Market order : Executed immediately at CMP or Next BID price (not advisable to put Market order as price could have a spike and you might get at very high price )

1. ATST--------------Acquire today sell tomorrow: You can buy today and sell it tomorrow even when shares have not been credited in your DEMAT A/C . Not all companies are allowed in ATST so please check it.
2. Delivery----- -You buy and get the shares in your DEMAT A/C on T+2 days . After that you can keep or you can sell whatever you want.
3. Margin[/B]------------ You pay some % of total money (around 20% in Future) and take position . Whenever you square off you holding you need to pay loss or get profit .Normally you need to maintain Minimum required margin .

So, if I place an order as ATST, then i cannot sell it today?
and can I sell Delivery product on the day on purchase?
At least In Indiabulls, when you buy under intraday or cash (delivery ) segments but sell the same day, you pay the intraday brokerage.
However when you use delivery instead of atst ,you may not get leverage or exposure.
I think intraday is ATST in your case.
