Transfer of shares..

Hi,

My father is having demat account with Vertex securities. He need to transfer all his shares to my Reliance Money account.
Do you have any idea / procedure about how to do that.

When he opened his account with his broker, he must have got a delivery instruction slip booklet. These slips are what a cheque is to a bank account. Ask your father to fill these slips with his and your demat account details and deposit with his broker.

Note, there is a fixed charge of per scrip. I do not remember clearly, but its around Rs.20 per scrip.

I think this is an offmarket transfer of securities since it is not routed through a stock exchange .There will be higher charges though...
