I would like to invest regularly (monthly @ 2k or more) for next two years towards gold. My friends have advised me to invest in GOLD ETFs. Is it necessary to have a demat account for the same? What will be its charges. Since my interest of investment is for short period and have no intention of any other type of investments--should I require to have demat account(for gold etfs). Kindly advise me.
