No delivery in auction, what happens?

#1
Hi, I purchased some share last week and u got short delivery even after auction. The broker has given me credit for about 5% of the amount as penalty payment, while I remember that it used to be 20% of the ltp. My broker is one of the nationally reputed one and talks about knowledge for welth creation (I don't want to mention their name, we all know who they are). Is it possible that they are poketing the actual difference or am imisguided?

Help from forum members will be greatly appreciates before I take u the matters with them.

Thanx for reading, kind regards.

I remember SavantGarde had mentioned about brokers pocketing the penalty money, with special regards to Motilal Oswal. If your broker is the same, then chances are high that they are doing something 'black'.

thanks bunny
can someone else please throw light on the issue.
next issue is with delivery, as far as i know the auction has to be done on t+3. so the auction participant has to deliver shares by 10AM morning of t+4. and if no shares were provided in auction market, then highest price during the deliverable period or +20% of ltp of the auction day i.e. t+3 is given.
please correct me if i am wrong.
