As far as I am aware, HDFC Sec does not permit BTST. For delivery trades, you have to wait T+2 before you can sell (actually it is more like T+3 as the shares are credited to the demat account at the end of day).

Heck, in fact they started to allow margin trading in stocks just a few months back. Prior to that, it was full deposit.

Given that their brokerage is extremely high, and their trading interface is inconvenient, there is little to recommend them for somebody thinking short-term trading.
