hi friends I am new to trading. I have DMAT account SBI and I have online Trading Account with SBICAPSEC, the window for online trading is very confusing. I would like to know the meaning for some technical terms mentiones below: New Market Watch Ticker Difference between BSE and NSE Scrip Fund lien DP lien Trade log Exposure Span details Obligation Beneficary Net Postion/square off Initial margin Do anyone have trading account with SBICAPSEC? if anyone have please explain me how to do online trading? and also I tried to access IPO TAB. By clicking IPO Tab I am getting as "Page can not be displayed"?. Anyone has tried? pls help me. thanks vijay

If you are getting the message as page cannot be displayed, then probably u need to change your internet advance settings.
Have u downloaded sun Java & MS java properly. Then you may not come acorss such problems. SBI cap is safe and secure but not suitable for intraday trading as most of the times the tickers hangs up. I hope SBI will rectify the defect soon.

Please check your firewall & internet connections. I also had account from SBI & faced the same issue. However I latter found that for tickers to appear certain ports need to be opened on firewall. Since I was using my company's network, I could open the ports & hence not use it.

If you face such problems, use Internet Explorer(IE) version-6.The newer versions of Firefox are showing a problem.
But before this, you should be sure that you have downloaded java and made other setting as shown in the demo set-up on the SBICAPSEC site

Download MS Vm also from the SBICAPSEC website.
Then in your IE6 browser, go to tools-internet options-advanced and tick the terms that you will see under java and Microsoft VM !!. Hope this solves your problem!!. Dude, I have some doubts of my own on this platform.Do you know what DPH,DPF,BEN mean while selling stocks from delivery account?.Please help.
