Sharekhan account opening - Help

I applied for the sharekhan account and the Agent is coming at my home today. I have no idea about trading. I asked me for some documents, photo and a check in which amount i have to fill some amount. When i said him on phone that i will deposit around 5000 then he said to increase a lil more and we will discuss after he reaches my home.

I dont know what this amount is for.
Will this whole amount get deposited in my Sharekhan account?
Is it necessary to give the check to the agent?

What should be the minimum amount for account opening?

Please help so that i can negotiate better with the agent.

I don't know the charges in Sharekhan. But the 5,000 you give will go to your account balance within sharekhan. Some brokers take 5,000 as minimum and another Rs.750 or so as Demat & other charges.

You can ask him for lower brokerage both for intraday and delivery on both legs.

Can u please tell me the brokerage charges he is offering to u presently.Do we have any monthly maintainence chargesfor it.I also want to no r there any hidden charges involved in sharekhan. Please me.As im very much interested in sharekhan.

I applied for the account yesterday. The agent told me this..

Sharekhan takes---
50 paise/Rs. 100 buying and selling
and for Same day Trading : 10 Paise/Rs 100 buying and selling
299 yearly maintenance.. (1st year free)
No charges from bank account to Dmat account money transfer(deposit and withdraw)

Govt takes:-
--------------------
Service tax, Security tax and few other tax.. etc

I specifically asked him about hidden charges in Sharekhan and he told me that there are no hidden charges.. nothing. Lets see if he is correct or not.

I was not ready to go beyond rs. 10000 but then invested 15000, he told me that if i invest 15000 then he can waive of the Account opening fee of 1000..

At present I am with Bajaj and their service is extremely poor atleast for me. Taking a week to correct some database error on my stocks which stopped me from trading anything. The present brokerage is .03 & .03 for intraday and .30 & .30 + rs.23 for delivery. Planing to change to Angel. I don't know about Sharekhan

I to made up my mind to Angel.He told me that if i open an account with 2000....i will get .03% in futures and .30% for delivery.Angel told me that 500 will be cut for maintenance and remaining 1500 will be used while charging me brokerage.

can an one tell me is that good

.03% for futures? I think .03 is for Intraday For me they took Rs.5000 as minimum balance and Rs.772 as demat charges. I can trade with this 5,000 only and nothing from Rs.772. For brokerage it depends upon that sales man and also from that Branch office. If they are short of target for that month they will be more than willing to reduce the brokerage.

I came to know if i pay rs.2000 (prepaid), angel charges 0.30% for delivery and 0.03% for intraday and in this 2k , 500 is admin charges and remaining is deducted for transcation charges for 1 year.

I have following queries in this regard

1. What are the annual maintenance charges?
2. If i don't do transcations of rs 1500 in the year, will the amount be lost?
3. What are the charges after prepaid is expired?
4. Are ther any hidden charges ?
5. can u say about your angel postpaid schemes?

Yes, u heard right abt that pre-paid plan. Can u tel me your location? i will tel u the contact person name who can help u. if ur not a frequent trader, choose postpaid plan as in prepaid amount wil get nullifiled which u havent utilized end of the year.
