ICICI DIRECT question....

How can I sell the stocks on ICICI direct, which I have bought on the same day.

Becaue it takes 3 days to get allotted and thins chane dangerously in 3 days.

It happened to me when Satan news came out.

I invested and the market turned south. I could not sell the stocks immediately, because I did not know.

I should have checked with sites like traderji. But I did not think.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

In ICICI Direct - you will have to choose margin as the product in case you want to trade intradday.
This will enable you to square off your position intra day.
Suppose you want to take delivery after buying the stock on margin then you can convert the same through the margin positions section.
ICICI direct does not allow margin trading on all stocks - in case you need to check go to stock list and choose margin plus and the same will list all stocks available for margin trading.

ps - all open margin postions are squared off by them at 3 pm so try and close your postions before that.

I would also like to add some thing more to it..... For a Begineer Intra day is a risky bet...

U can use BTST which is provided by ICICI DIRECT. U can buy shares today and sell them tomorrow even before the shares are delivered. I think one must try this before going for an Intra day. There is a demo available for this and the intraday margin trading in the ICICIDIRECT homepage.

If u want to sell shares same day, then u must trade in margin or margin plus position, otherwise u can choose btst,
in btst u can sale shares before they come in ur demat account,
go to security position and sell them

For intra day, buy and sell MARGIN

To sell before 3rd working day. Click "security projection" and see the stock, you will find a link "BTST" sell. From here you can sell it before the stock comes to your demat. And this BTST facility is limited only to approximately 500 stock. Check the list of BTST stock in the site before you try.
