Real Time Values

#1
I am new to trading, and I am doing pretty well from past 1 month.

I am using Sharekhan classic a/c as I cant install Java in cyber cafe or in my work place. ( I dont have internet in my home) Due to which I suffered loss.

Please suggest if I can access any web site which gives real time values or the stock updates.

I am using Rediffmoneywiz.com and its quiet good too, but it is again late by 2 mins.

Congrats. Hope you are able to maintain the consistency in performance. Don't let last 1 month fool you. (Experienced traders will support my view, that market is master in fooling people, even experienced traders who are caught on wrong foot )

If that is the reason for loss, then please fix the reason. Or adjust your trading timeframe to take care of this limitation. It makes no sense to take 1950's car and try to expect performance of forumla's car from it.

Best place to refer to quote should be your brokers site because thats where u are going to put yr trade.
Even if you get the latest tick price from NSE, it is not going to help much because yr broker's system will have its own delay.

If you are daytrading and your timeframe is in few minutes, then 2 minutes of lag matters. If that is the case, then you got to invest in better infrastructure because one can't compete in fast run business with slow tools.
If not then, my suggetion will be to change your timeframe to slightly longterm say 15min / 30min/ daily then 2 mins of gap won't matter much. All public sites will provide info with slight delay, including NSE site. So, don't expect up-to-the second updated info in free.

Happy Trading.

There aren't any free feeds that provide real time values. Also, as others have suggested, there is no such thing as real time. It is always near-real-time.

If you are serious about making money, invest more than your time. Get a computer and a good internet connection. It'll help you in the long run.
