Hi all,
I am new to trading. my broker is icicidirect. I am not sure how to short a share using icicidirect.
i have bot share (delivery) and i think i get the hang of it...... but i am still stumped as far as shorting if shares is concerned.

if you short equity then its only intraday,i.e cover up before close. if you want to short for positional trade, then you have to do it only on futures or options.

You can short by selecting product as Margin or Margin Plus. Read the help section on the website or the software demo.
