once the shares are in your demat a/c it wont make any difference, but in case of intraday or btst you need to take care.

It doesn't make a difference which exchange you buy the share from since they are in demat(erialized) form or electronic form. The best part about it is that you can buy from any exchange say NSE and sell in any lot size at the other exchange say for example BSE.

can i do that,

buy shares in NSE and sell in BSE or vice versa ?

there is always or may be a price difference of a particular stock in NSE and it's price in BSE.

Difference = profit ? :confused:

Yes,u can buy in one exchange and sell in another. It is called arbitrage.During volatile markets we do such opportunites.

One can put sell order in one exchange, say NSE, and simultaneously put buy order in another exchange, say BSE.Difference is profit.

However, it is difficult because for such opportunity one has to trade in relatively high quantity and within split of a second whenever prices in both exchanges gives such variation.

You need to take delivery of the stock bought on NSE and then sell the same in BSE and vice versa. That is, you cannot buy in NSE and square off the same in BSE.
