Raedthakur,
Please don't start in trading with "Plan to loose 10k". Market it ruthless place and if you are ready to give it 10k then tomorrow it wound't mind snatching 10k, 10 Lac or 10 Cr from you. Start with Plan to succeed in Trading business. Starting with Small account size is always advised. If you are serious to succeed here then put small part of 10k towards Learning (say 1 to 2k) - the basic knowledge of chart reading, trading, actual trading etc. You can't not paper trade but do start with buying 30 /40 rs shares of Index or Group A companies. Use remaing 8k to execute small trades with strict risk stop loss discipline.
Focus on learning the tricks of the trade first. You can hit sixers later but first learn to wear the protective gears of batsman, holding the bat, swinging the bat etc.

Trading is tough business and your success here depends on your ability to protect your capital thru right money managment and risk management strategies..

All the best.

Introduction:=
1)1st go to any Busy Broker's Place,hang around ,get few acquintance ,get pally,hear few & all type of stories,for 1 week.
2)Learn the terminologies ,go thru this forum & internet for 2 weeks.

After this you may get the Hang of the Enviorment & Leechars,now comes Learning.
There are many ways to approach Trading.
1) Trend Following := Saint's Thread will help you from scratch to Graduation.
2) Understanding Internal Dynamics of Price Movement,'Profile':= Only knowledgeable Person in our Forum,can teach you the same within 10 months is very ellusive & rarely posts on the subject,but he has a golden heart,only you have to approach him privately,his ID is CV.
3) Arresting the Imbalance / Correlation / between Stocks-Indices,between Sector-Scrip,between Value & Price etc:= Few brilliant ID's are here in traderji & few works are in progress.
Knowledge of Statistics & Maths is essential.

Execution:=
If you can Master any one of these then the most difficult part is translating this knowledge to Money earning,this needs recasting Self.

Pay-Off:=

A south Korean in a span of 1 decade (a trader) is about to dislodge Warren Buffet in Net worth.A Lucrative proffession .

(i have a hdfc savings account opened,pan card and all necessary documents )

3) or is 10,000 enough ?

4) i was thinking of sharekhan ...... is it alright coz i have read a lot on this forums how you are not able to log in at peak times?

5) should i start with a browser based trading or software one as i have heard its faster?

any help would be highly appreciated,

Thanking you in advance.

Hi Raedthakur,

I would like to tell you that Indiabull will be good for opening the A/c as the brokerage charges for intra & delivery are less. 10000 Rs is sufficient amount to start with. I had also started with the same amount a year back.
According to me, u first start reading the books on technical or fundamental analysis as in which u r interested in. & continuous visit to this forum and specially the post by SAINT will be more than enough to trade in the market.
