SCENARIO 1:
Monthly uptrend, weekly making few bars/candles down, buy the first week where the bar takes out the previous week's high.

SCENARIO2:
Monthly uptrend, weekly breaking previous pivot lows, proceeding to make lower pivot highs and lows, buy only when the weekly charts show a previous pivot high being taken out.

Exit points:Exit when stop loss is triggerred......exit when previous pivot lows on the daily are taken out.......trail stop to 2 bars back on the daily once the gradient starts getting steep, exit when trail stops are hit.

Position Sizing:As discussed in the "Teach a Man...." thread

Another scenario:Weekly making higher pivot lows,no real confirmation as to change in trend, daily starts making higher pivot lows and highs, trade the daily, with the foot on high alert to slam the brakes if required........If you prefer to get confirmation on the weekly, then stay out of these.

Basically we are trying to capture the intermed trend but not too interested if the daily gets into a downtrend......we'd rather sit it out and reenter once the daily gets back into an uptrend.

Here unlike the previous trade.........I want PIVOT HIGHS to get taken out before an entry.

All the best!

My first lesson in technical analysis was "GO BY TREND". I use this technique both in short term (upto intraday) and long term trade.

At first I planned to share a video of live trading (in intraday) adopting this technique. The file size becomes so big to share and will be very difficult to download the same by the friends.

So, I prepared a power point presentation showing the basic features of it. If u permit me, other features can be uploaded time to time.

I request my friends to upload ur trading technique with which u have become married, so that we the others can be benefited from ur technique.

Hello

As per the first post on his thread satyajit uses the trend lines to trade long terms as well as intraday trades. So we can consider this method in both cases

Method: Trading Intraday with 5 Mins Using 15/30 mins as prespective, by SAINT

Quote:
In this method we take trades only in the direction with 15/30 (choose one) minutes Trend .

We then use the breakout of a pivots for entry and exit (stop).

Method: Trading opening Gaps with High / Low of first 5 Mins Bar, by SAINT

Quote:
Using this method Gaps are traded using the High / Low of the first 5 Minutes bar.

I: Gap UP
Case 1: If the Low of first 5 Min is broken we consider that there is a high probability that the gap will be filled and hence take a short trade.
Case 2: If the High of first 5 Min is taken out we consider that there is a high probability that the gap will not be filled and price continue to rise and hence take a Long trade.

II. Gap Down:
Case 3: If the High of first 5 Min is taken out we consider that there is a high probability that the gap will be filled and hence take a Long trade.
Case 4: If the Low of first 5 Min is broken we consider that there is a high probability that the gap will not be filled and price continue to fall and hence take a Short trade.

For both the above methods will keep updating from posts SAINT made in the 7300 thread, meanwhile you can go through the trades, have added links for few of them

Method: Intraday Trading Using Modified Kolkata Indicator

This one has interesting development process.

Asishda presented the forum with a indicator at kolkata meet.

After interaction from Karthik and Kalyan, Asishda also released the code for the indicator.

Discussion on kolkata meet signal

Gautam started using it for intraday trades and with help from RK modified it to give a band based on High/Low instead of close.

With further modifications for trade managment, the system is being used by gautam to trade Nifty Futures, trades discussed in 7300 thread

RK Karnani and Gautam have promised to make few posts with all the relevent details about their method of using this inidcator, will place a link to it once it is done.

Vikram,

In a public Forum it is difficult to impose rules. We have made a pdf of 'Saint's Thread' / 'Karthik's Thread' by deleting the irrelevant posts.Your difficulties is understandable. However ,appreciation is always desireable.
