Question Share Price Fluctuation in one day

Friends!

Fluctuation of share price is common in stock market. But, my doubt is that, is there any maximum limit for the price fluctuation in one day?

What is the maximum percentage of change (gain or loss, increase or decrease) can occur for a single stock or a index IN ONE DAY ?

Thanks and regards
Mahesh

According To My Personal Opinion, Price Fluctuations Of A Scrip Depends On The Market Trend For The Last Five Sessions And The Market-cap Of The Companies As Well.
But,under The Normal Market Conditions:
Price Fluctuations For The Large Cap : Approx 1%- 5% Up/down Is Appreciable
For The Midcap: Approx 3%- 7% Up/down Is Appreciable
For The Smlcap: Approx 5%- 10% Up/down Is Considerable
Thanx!!!!

Abhishek .. thaks for the info

Well, my another perspective of the question is .. What is the maximum percentage a price can rise or fall. Actually one of my friend was saying that any share price cannot rise or fill beyond 20% and thats the ceiling/limit for any kind of scrip. But last week as everyone knows few shares fell down more than 24% ... so is there any limit for it ?

Controlling Price Of Shares And NSE,BSE Index in Intra Day Trading is known as
Upper Circuit and Lower Circuit.
Lower Circuit is -16 %
Upper Circuit is 16 % for Shares.
I think For Index this is another calculation assumming waitage of Scripts.
